Mossad, an Israeli intelligence agency, is today cited as possible organiser of Mumbai train bomb blasts. Immediately after the blast, Mossad was reportedly engaged by Sai Baba Mandir trust to provide security to the famous religious shrine. The newspaper clarifies that till now the Mumbai authorities have not confirmed as to why the Sai Baba Trust had to employ a foreign intelligence agency for its protection. Or if Maharashtra Government and Central Government have cleared the hiring of Mossad intelligence agency?

Sahara News Bureau [SNB] report on the front page of Sahara Urdu Daily, further adss that "some security experts have wondered if through the excuse of security of Hindu temples, Mossad, which is notorious for counter-terrorism and counter-espionage all over the world and especially in Arab and Muslim countries, is allowed to step in Maharashtra state, the conditions will seriously deteriorate not only in Maharashtra, but all over India".

SAHARA further quotes an anonymous retired Muslim police officer,who was commenting on the news of Mossad security for Sai Baba Mandir: " To get into Maharashtra, Mossad itself may have arranged the Mumbai train blasts in such a way that the whole blame should fall on SIMI, the banned Muslim Students organization" [which is now legal at least in India largest state of Uttar Pradesh] and other Muslim organisations.

He is an orphan, and says he was advised by the Imam of the Sengottai Jamat (in Tirunelveli) and sent to Arivagam. He says he convinced his 30-year-old brother Ummar (Kumar) to join him.
‘‘My sister is waiting to get her delivery over with and to get converted.’’
Mohammed Mushtaq, earlier Rajkamal from Thanjavur, hails from the Thevar caste, known for its fierce caste chauvinism. ‘‘I used to drink, smoke cigarettes and take drugs. My Hindu religion could not stop me. But a few Muslim friends pointed out that in their religion, there was fear of punishment. Now I have no vices and I am happy,’’ he says. He has been helped to settle in Ukkadam in Coimbatore where he now sells fruits.
The new class of nearly 50 converts get free boarding and lodging until they finish their ‘education.’ Some men bring their children along while some send their womenfolk to attend the classes at Eruvadi.
Women like Fathima (22), until recently Shanthakumari, and 22-year-old Katheeja (who was Priya), have not opposed the family’s conversion to Islam, as they would be given a ‘secure’ life by the ‘Dharul Hikma.’ Says its principal, Sheik Mohammed: ‘‘We will find them grooms and arrange for their weddings just as we found Muslim brides for most of the new converts at Arivagam.’’

The village head of the Dalit colony in Muthuthevanpatty, E N Karuppiah, said at least 50 Dalit families in the village, with its 500-odd members, have already converted to Islam.

Dehradun, July 26 (ANI): Jamait Ulama-a-Hind leader and Vice President of Uttaranchal's 15 Points Implementation Programme Maulana Masood Madani today said that Shahi Imam Ahmed Bukhari was the "biggest terrorist of India".

Talking to reporters, Madani accused Imam Bukhari for masterminding various bomb blasts in the country and having links with anti-social activities.

"The government is not doing anything after having all relevant details about terrorists. Two months ago, I had intimated the government through a separate copy of letter to the Prime Minister that India's biggest terrorist is Shahi Imam Ahmed Bukhari. Why is government not doing anything to arrest him? He is the one who is responsible for the bomb blasts in Jama Masjid and Srinagar. He has contacts with all the terrorist agencies. He has also threatened to kill us. Our information is correct. Even the government and the CBI have information about the same. Government is only responsible to support the terrorist in this country," said Madni.

Niteen V Pradhan is an angry man. One of India's leading criminal lawyers, he has mailed a letter to the 18 core accused in the March 12, 1993 bomb blasts case, telling them he will not fight the case for them any more.
In conversation with Sumit Bhattacharya, Pradhan says July 11, 2006 was a "day of reckoning" for him, and he felt he was "defending the wrong cause."

The first instalment of a two-part interview.

You have defended people like Abu Salem and some of the accused in the stamp scam case. Why did you decide not to defend the 1993 blasts accused anymore?

There is a bit of a history. Initially some other lawyers were appearing for the bomb blasts accused. Those lawyers expressed their no-confidence in the then presiding officer of the court. The accused retracted and said, 'We want this judge.' The judge directed that these lawyers should not come within the precincts of the court.

There were 48 prime accused. The series of charges against them included smuggling RDX (Research and Development Explosive), transportation of RDX, hatching conspiracy in Dubai, having conspiratorial meetings in India, storage of RDX, preparing vehicular bombs, planting those bombs and detonating them on March 12, 1993.

These 48 persons were left high and dry by the order of the judge.

The judge appointed me and Mahesh Jethmalani as amicus curae (friend of the court, who assists the court to come to the right conclusion) in July 1994.

The day after, representatives of three Muslim organisations met me. They said, 'We don't want you to appear as amicus curae. We want to pay your fees and we want you to act as a professional defence counsel.'

I was reluctant. I made enquiries.

They (the community leaders) said, 'We don't want Mahesh Jethmalani because his father was vice-president of the BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party).'

I apprised the learned judge of the meeting. The judge said, 'I don't have any objection.'

In the first meeting, I asked them, 'Why do you want the community to pay?' -- they said my fees would be paid by the community. I asked them, 'Why is the community trying to identify with those who are accused of killing people mercilessly with vehicular bombs?'

It was the first time something like that had happened in India, and I was surprised (with the community identifying with the accused).

They said the community is offended because of the application of Section 121 of the Indian Penal Code -- which means waging war against the country. Under English law, it meant the offence of treason.

They said, 'We are not traitors. And if our community has been accused of being traitors, we feel the entire community has been accused of being traitors.'

I agreed with them. Because according to me, the bomb blasts had nothing to do with waging war against the government. The bomb blasts had something to do with the Ayodhya issue, December 1992 riots and the January 1993 riots (in Mumbai). It was arising out of the communal frenzy.

I felt this community is not a traitor. They love India like any other person. It is not that Hindus love India more than the Muslims, or the Christians, or the Sikhs, or any other community or religion in India.

I defended them. My submissions were accepted by the judge and the CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation) also. M Natarajan, the senior advocate appearing for CBI, made a bold statement. He said that I am legally correct in my submissions. Ultimately he conceded that this charge of Section 121 should be dropped. The matter (case) went on.

Finally these 18 persons, the core accused, I defended them as a matter of professional duty. I was told the money for my fees was being collected during the Friday sermons. After my appearance in 1994, when I came out of the matter in 1995, several bomb blasts took place in Bombay -- Ghatkopar, Vile Parle, Gateway of India, etc.

The biggest one was the recent one -- July 11. I was extremely perturbed because (despite) whatever I had been told by the so-called leaders, those leaders have not come out against these bomb blasts, or the carnage of tourists in Srinagar. They have not come out in support of the Kashmiri Pandits living in refugee camps.

At least one Muslim leader should come out and say, 'I don't stand by the so-called jihad, so-called pious duty they are talking about. That Islam they are talking, that Islam they are preaching, that Islam they are executing, that is not my Islam. I feel ashamed if they belong to my community, my religion.'

Nobody said this. Nobody came out. I am not talking just about the leaders who came to meet me. I am talking about community leaders from the film world, the industry, from the commercial establishments, from educational institutions, from politics. None of them came out saying that 'I want to collect money for Kashmiri Hindus. I want to come out in support of these victims.'

After 1993, Bombay is by and large calm. There is no communal frenzy here. The loss of faith in each other, which happened in 1992, has been now retrieved. What is the occasion for all these bomb blasts, particularly July 11?

The 1993 bomb blasts -- I am not justifying it, it is no doubt beyond justification -- were the aftermath of the Ayodhya issue, the December 1992 riots and January 1993 riots (in Mumbai). What has happened now? Who has committed atrocities, even allegedly?

I am convinced now that all these terrorist activities, all these bomb blasts are aimed against Hindus. They want to kill Hindus at random and as many as possible.

This is the same impression I have mentioned in my letter to the accused. I said, 'My community and my country do not deserve this. My community and my country, despite being ruled by Muslims for a thousand years, despite the atrocities, have accepted them as brothers.'

But we have seen people like Shah Rukh Khan condemning the blasts.

Tell me, is this the same Shah Rukh Khan who refused to touch the feet of Lata Mangeshkar saying his religion does not allow him to touch someone's feet? How much money has he paid to Kashmiri Hindus? Has Shah Rukh Khan defended Feroze Khan for what he said in Pakistan?

How many of them have defended Feroze Khan, who told the truth -- that Pakistan is a failed State; that minorities in India are far better treated than the minorities in Pakistan? Did Shabana Azmi support him? Did Javed Akhtar support him?

1. கிறிஸ்தவ கன்னியாஸ்திரிகள் சில குறிப்பிட்ட வகை உடைகளையே அணிந்திருக்க வேண்டும். எல்லாப் பெண்களும் ஆண்களும் பல்கலைக் கழத்தில் பட்டம் பெறும் போது பர்தாவையொத்த கருப்பு அங்கியையும் தொப்பியையும் அணிய வேண்டும். அதேபோல் நீதிமன்ற நீதிபதி (ஆணோ பெண்ணோ) யாராக இருந்தாலும் பர்தாவையொத்த கருப்பு அங்கியை அணிய வேண்டும். இங்கெல்லாம் 'வற்புறுத்தல்' 'பழமைவாதம்' 'பெண் அடிமைத் தனம்' என்ற சொற்கள் பிரயோகிக்கப்படுவதில்லை. ஆனால் முஸ்லிம் பெண்கள் பர்தா அணியும் போது மட்டும் அவ்வாறு குறிப்பிடப்படுவது ஏன்? அதைச் சொல்வது இஸ்லாம் என்பதனாலா?

அப்படி என்றால், கிறுத்துவமும் பழமைவாதம் என்று தான் சொல்வேன்...பட்டம் பெறும் கறுப்பு அங்கியை வீட்டை விட்டு வெளியில் செல்லும் போது எல்லாம் அணியவேண்டுமா?
பெண் தனியாக செல்லக் கூடாது, ஆண் துணையுடன் தான் செல்லவேண்டும், என்றெல்லாம் சொல்வது இஸ்லாம் தான். அது பழமைவாதம், பெணணடிமைத்தனமன்றி வேறென்னா...?

3.முறையற்ற உடலுறவே எயிட்சுக்குக் காரணம்! பாலினக் கவர்ச்சியே பல குற்றங்களுக்கு அடிப்படை. முறையான திருமணங்கள் மூலம் உடலுறவு கொள்வதால் எயிட்ஸ் வர வாய்ப்பில்லை. ஆணும் பெண்ணும் கண்ணியமாக நடந்து கொண்டால் பாலினக் கவர்ச்சியால் எழும் குற்றங்கள் குறையும். ஆணும் பெண்ணும் கண்ணியமாக வாழ்ந்தால் மேற்கண்ட தீங்குகள் இல்லை.ஆனால் உலக நாடுகளின் சட்டங்கள் இவற்றை நடைமுறைப் படுத்த முன்வருவதில்லை ஏன்? அதைச் சொல்வது இஸ்லாம் என்பதனாலா?

நிக்காவையும் தலாக்கையும் ஒரே நாளில் முடிக்கும் ஷேக்குகளுக்கும், வஹாபி இஸ்லாத்தின் Fountain head ஆன சவூதியில் மிஸ்யார் (al misyar - نكاح المسيار) வகைப் பெண்களைப்பற்றி இஸ்லாம் என்ன சொல்கிறது?

முஸ்லீம் ஆடவர்களின் காம வெறியை தீர்த்துக் கொள்ள இது போன்றதொரு அமைப்பு உதவுகிறது. இதற்கு காரணம் என்ன?..இஸ்லாம் தான்.

condom, கருத்தடை மாத்திரைகள் பயன் படுத்துவது இஸ்லாத்தில் தடை. ஏன்? என்ன காரணம்? condom கள் எய்ட்ஸை தடுக்க உதவுவது உலகறிந்த உண்மை.

5.பாகிஸ்தானில் கோவில் இடிக்கப்பட்டால் கொதிந்து எழுவதும், இடிக்கப் படாத கோவில் புணரமைப்பிற்கு நிதியுதவி செய்தாலும் அதற்கும் உள்ளர்த்தம் கற்பிகப் படுகிறது. பாபர் மசூதியை அநியாயமாக இடித்து விட்டு, தற்போது அங்கு சட்டவிரோதமாக அமைக்கப் பட்டுள்ள ராமர் கோவிலுக்கு எஃகுச்சுவர் பாதுகாப்பிற்காக மத்திய அரசு சுமார் எட்டு கோடி ரூபாய் ஒதுக்குகிறது. இடிக்கப்படாத கோவிலுக்காக வெகுண்டு எழுந்த கணவான்கள், இடிக்கப்பட்ட மசூதி பற்றி ஒன்றும் சொல்லாதது ஏன்? அது முஸ்லிம்களுக்குச் சொந்தமானது என்பதனாலா?

பாபர் மசூதி ஒரு மசூதியே அல்ல...அது வெறும் பாழடைந்த கட்டிடம்...பயன் படுத்தப் படாத சிதிலம்..அதை உடைத்ததுக்கு ப.ஜ.க முதல் எத்துனையோ பேர், எத்துனையோ முறை மன்னிப்புக் கேட்டுக் கொண்டனர்...எத்தனை இஸ்லாமியத் தலைவர்கள், எண்ணற்ற கோவில்கள் இடிக்கப் பட்டு அவமானத்தின், அடிமைத்தனத்தின் சின்னமாக கட்டப்பட்ட மசூதிகளுக்காக இந்துக்களிடம் மன்னிப்புக் கேட்டனர்?

அவர்களைத் எது தடுக்கிறது? இஸ்லாம் தான்.

7. குண்டு வெடிப்புகளாலும் கலவரங்களாலும் அப்பாவிகள் கொல்லப் படுகின்றனர். சமீபத்தில் கூட மும்பை இரயில் குண்டு வெடிப்புகளில் கொல்லப்பட்டவர்கள் அப்பாவிகளே. இதனை பல வலைப்பதிவர்கள் கண்டித்தனர். அதேசமயம் இஸ்ரேலில் அடாவடித்தனத்தால் லெபனானிலும் அப்பாவிகள் கொல்லப் படுகின்றனர். மும்பை ரயில்களில் குண்டு வைத்தவர்களைக் கண்டித்த மனிதாபிமானிகள், இஸ்ரேலிலிருந்து லெபனானை நோக்கி சரமாரியாக வீசப்படும் குண்டு வீச்சுகளைக் கண்டிக்கவில்லை! ஏன்? கொல்லப்படுவது எங்கோ இருக்கும் முஸ்லிம்கள்தானே என்பதனாலா?

எங்கேயோ இருக்கும் லெபனான் மக்களுக்கு குரல் கொடுக்கவேண்டும் என்று இந்தியாவில் உள்ள ஒரு "குறிப்பிட்ட" மதத்தவர் ஏன் நினைக்கவேண்டும்...? ஆப்பிர்க்காவில் பஞ்சத்தில் அடிபட்டு பாடுபடுகிறார்களே...sub saharan africa வில் போர் தலைவிரித்து ஆடி, பல உயிர்கள் கொல்லப்படுகின்றன...அதைப் பற்றி எந்த இஸ்லாமியர் பேசுகிறார். அதைப் பற்றி இவர்களுக்கு கவலையில்லை. ஏன்? அவர்கள் முஸ்லீம்கள் அல்லர்!!

8.மும்பை ரயில் குண்டு வெடிப்பில் காயம் பட்டவர்களுக்கு தங்கள் உயிரையும் பொருட்படுத்தாது உதவியவர்கள் மும்பை ப்ளாட்பார முஸ்லிம்கள். காயம் பட்ட இந்து சகோதரர்களுக்கு இரத்தம் கொடுக்க மருத்துவமணைகளில் நீண்ட வரிசையில் நின்றவர்களும் முஸ்லிம்களே! முதல் கட்ட விசாரணை அறிக்கை வெளிவரும் முன்பே குண்டு வைத்தவர்கள் முஸ்லிம்கள்தான் என்று கண்ணை மூடிக் கொண்டு குற்றப்பத்திரிக்கை வாசித்தவர்கள், மும்பை ப்ளாட்பாரவாசிகளின் சகோதர மனப்பான்மையை மறந்து விட்டனர். ஏன்? அவ்வாறு உதவியவர்கள் முஸ்லிம்கள் என்பதனாலா?

Left seeks govt to end Israeli arms purchase

The CPI(M) on Friday asked the UPA government to suspend arms purchase from Israel in the wake of recent attacks on Lebanon in which more than sixty people were killed.

“Israel has launched a full-scale attack by air, sea and land on Lebanon, and it has launched this undeclared war because two of its soldiers were abducted by the Hizbollah in Lebanon. The retaliation has been disproportionate and reveals Israel’s penchant for aggression on its neighbouring countries, and as a first step India should suspend buying arms from Israel,” it said.

Ironically, Israel has emerged the second-largest military supplier to India, with sales worth Rs 12,000 crore over the last four years. The CPI(M) also asked the UPA to demand international sanctions against Israel.

The origin of the Andaman "Negrito" and Nicobar "Mongoloid" populations has been ambiguous. Our analyses of complete mitochondrial DNA sequences from Onges and Great Andaman populations revealed two deeply branching clades that share their most recent common ancestor in founder haplogroup M, with lineages spread among India, Africa, East Asia, New Guinea, and Australia. This distribution suggests that these two clades have likely survived in genetic isolation since the initial settlement of the islands during an out-of-Africa migration by anatomically modern humans. In contrast, Nicobarese sequences illustrate a close genetic relationship with populations from Southeast Asia.

ஜெரூசலத்தின் (பழய நகரத்தின்) மிக அழகான நுளைவாயில்களில் ஒன்று Damascus Gate. இந்த நளைவு வாயில் சிரியாவிலுள்ள டமாஸ்கஸ் நகரம் நோக்கியுள்ளதால் இதற்கு இந்த பெயர். டேவிட் ரொபர்ட்ஸ் என்கிற ஆங்கில ஓவியர் 19ம் நூற்றாண்டில் வரைந்த சித்திரமும், அதே டமாஸ்கஸ் நுளைவு வாயில் இன்று எப்படி உள்ளது என்பதையும் படத்தில் காண்க.

இந்த நுளைவு வாயில் வழியாக உள்ளே நுளைந்ததும் அரபு மார்க்கெட் தான் முதலில் வரும். இது முஸ்லீம்கள் வாழும் பகுதி. அரபு மொழி, ஹீப்ரூ மொழி என்று எல்லாமே கேட்கும். அதிக அரபு முஸ்லீம்கள் வாழும் பகுதி இது.





அதுவும் எப்பொழுதுமே கூட்டமாக இருக்கும் இந்த மார்கெட் பகுதியில் மசூதியும், யூதத்தேவாலயமும் சேர்ந்தே இருக்கின்றது. யூதத்தேவாலயத்தின் சின்னமான மெனோராஹ்- מנורה-menorah இருப்பதைப் பார்க்கலாம்.

Scientists Collide with Linguists to Assert Indigenous origin of Indian Civilization

Comprehensive population genetics data along with archeological and astronomical evidence presented at June 23-25, 2006 conference in Dartmouth, MA, overwhelmingly concluded that Indian civilization and its human population is indigenous.

In fact, the original people and culture within the Indian Subcontinent may even be a likely pool for the genetic, linguistic, and cultural origin of the most rest of the world, particularly Europe and Asia.

Leading evidences come from population genetics, which were presented by two leading researchers in the field, Dr. V. K. Kashyap, National Institute of Biologicals, India, and Dr. Peter Underhill of Stanford University in California. Their results generally contradict the notion Aryan invasion/migration theory for the origin of Indian civilization.

Underhill concluded "the spatial frequency distributions of both L1 frequency and variance levels show a spreading pattern emanating from India", referring to a Y chromosome marker. He, however, put several caveats before interpreting genetic data, including "Y-ancestry may not always reflect the ancestry of the rest of the genome"

Dr. Kashyap, on the other hand, with the most comprehensive set of genetic data was quite emphatic in his assertion that there is "no clear genetic evidence for an intrusion of Indo-Aryan people into India, [and] establishment of caste system and gene flow."

Michael Witzel, a Harvard linguist, who is known to lead the idea of Aryan invasion/migration/influx theory in more recent times, continued to question genetic evidence on the basis that it does not provide the time resolution to explain events that may have been involved in Aryan presence in India.

Dr. Kashyap's reply was that even though the time resolution needs further work, the fact that there are clear and distinct differences in the gene pools of Indian population and those of Central Asian and European groups, the evidence nevertheless negates any Aryan invasion or migration into Indian Subcontinent.

Witzel though refused to present his own data and evidence for his theories despite being invited to do so was nevertheless present in the conference and raised many questions.  Some of his commentaries questioning the credibility of scholars evoked sharp responses from other participants.

Rig Veda has been dated to 1,500 BC by those who use linguistics to claim its origin Aryans coming out of Central Asia and Europe. Archaeologist B.B. Lal and scientist and historian N.S. Rajaram disagreed with the position of linguists, in particular Witzel who claimed literary and linguistic evidence for the non-Indian origin of the Vedic civilization.

Dr. Narahari Achar, a physicist from University of Memphis clearly showed with astronomical analysis that the Mahabharata war in 3,067 BC, thus poking a major hole in the outside Aryan origin of Vedic people.

Interestingly, Witzel stated, for the first time to many in the audience, that he and his colleagues no longer subscribe to Aryan invasion theory.

Dr. Bal Ram Singh, Director, Center for Indic Studies at UMass Dartmouth, which organized the conference was appalled at the level of visceral feelings Witzel holds against some of the scholars in the field, but felt satisfied with the overall outcome of the conference.

"I am glad to see people who have been scholarly shooting at each other for about a decade are finally in one room, this is a progress", said Singh.

The conference was able to bring together in one room for the first time experts from genetics, archeology, physics, linguistics, anthropology, history, and philosophy. A proceedings of the conference is expected to come out soon, detailing various arguments on the origin of Indian civilization.
